🎊The Role

This is a true generalist ops role - ideal for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and being part of a startup where you’re constantly learning, getting stuck in, and making things better.

The Operations Manager sits at the heart of the business. You’ll combine BAU work with project ownership, partnering closely with the CEO and the wider team to ensure Vitrue runs efficiently, stays financially healthy, and remains a great place to work.

📈What You’ll Be Doing

💰 Finance & Runway Management

• Work closely with our external accountants on monthly reporting and track budgets, monitor spend and flag savings opportunities.

• Maintain visibility over cash flow and runway, supporting decisions that help us extend and protect it.

• Own payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely monthly payroll for the team, including commission processing.

🎉 Team Experience & Socials

• Coordinate hiring logistics (scheduling, candidate comms, great interview experience).

• Own onboarding logistics for new joiners, ensuring people are set up for success from day one (tools, access, introductions, and support).

• Plan quarterly socials and occasional team events; create moments that celebrate wins and milestones.

🛡 Governance & Deal Support

• Support ongoing governance and compliance activities, keeping key policies, processes, and documentation up to date.

• Coordinate with external partners on governance requirements (e.g. data protection, insurance policies), with guidance from the wider team.

• Support the Commercial team in getting deals over the line by coordinating responses to customer security questionnaires and due-diligence requests.

• Support the delivery of ISO certification by maintaining policies and evidence, and working with external consultants to keep us audit-ready.

🗺️ Offsites & Planning Support

• Plan and coordinate team offsites, strategy days, and planning sessions- from logistics and agendas to on-the-day delivery and follow-up actions.

• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to ensure offsites are well-structured and translate into clear outcomes and next steps.

🧩 Special Projects

• Own and deliver cross-functional projects that help Vitrue achieve its mission

• Proactively identify opportunities for new initiatives that improve how we work or how the business performs

🏢 Office & Team Environment

• Own the day-to-day running of the office so it’s productive and welcoming

• Improve the space and ways of working over time (practical changes, small experiments, iteration)

• Bring creativity and a practical mindset to improving how the team works in the office, testing new ideas and iterating as we grow.

👀Who you are

You’re a practical, organised, and proactive operator who enjoys being close to the action.

You likely have:

• 3+ years experience in an operations, business operations, or similar role within a startup or SaaS environment

• Confidence juggling admin/BAU work alongside projects and longer-term improvements

• A solutions-focused mindset - you spot problems early and enjoy fixing them

• You’re comfortable learning new operational areas (like security and governance) and know when to ask for support or escalate

• Comfort working with ambiguity and changing priorities

• A bias towards action, which helps you get things moving and get it done!

You don’t need to be an expert in everything but you’re curious, capable, and happy to learn.

💰Salary

£45– £55k depending on experience
